What is a total?
Over, under, and the number
A total is a bet on how much stuff happens: goals, points, runs, corners. Over the number, or under it.

Green is the landing strip — both tickets cash. Grey misses pay the juice on one side. That is why middles are not free unless the miss still profits.
2.5 goals means there is no push — the match cannot land on 2.5. 3.0 can push if they score exactly three.
Team totals, first-half totals, and corner totals are the same toy on a smaller pitch. Corners still need an over and an under. A 1X2 does not belong on that tab.
When two shops disagree on the number (2.5 vs 3.5), you might have a window. That is a middle, not a better over.
takeawayThe number is the line. The price is what they pay you to pick a side of it.
